Punk Wine - graphic identity
This is a school project we did for a client who is just starting up a wine importing business in Sweden for natural wines. So our assignment was to make a graphic identity, labels for the bottles and a website. They want to be perceived as rebellious, environmentally friendly and fun, which made this a very interesting project. My main responsibilities in this group project was the logo, colors, printing and website.
Made together with: Linnea Ivarsson, Anna Larsson and Alexander Lastra
Logotype
I made this logo to look simple, handmade and rough to reflect the values of Punk Wine. The logo has an effect that gives it the impression that it’s a stamp, which looks cool when it’s applied on the labels of the bottles.
Below are some other variants that I made before we decided to use this one.

Graphic elements
Number system
We came up with a system to make it easy to distinguish between the different wines. First of all every new wine gets it’s own number, that way it’s easy to remember your favorite and add new ones.
The color of the number also tells you what kind of wine it is, the blue tones are for white wine, the pink ones are for red wine and the orange ones are for orange wines.
Illustrations
We drew a variety of illustrations to add a playfulness and attitude to Punk Wine. They look hand drawn and fit well with the natural wine concept.
Bottle labels
Front
When it’s all combined it looks like this! The wines have a their own number and the color of it tells us what kind of wine it is; white, red or orange.
The label is both classy and playful at the same time and will stand out from the other natural wines on the shelf.
Back
On the back of the bottle you can see what grape the wine is made from, the serving temperature, what food to pair the wine with and what it tastes like.
It also has the plastic recycling symbol (pant) because we’ve chosen to use a plastic bottle instead of glass. This is because plastic takes less water and energy to produce and therefore is better for the environment. It’s also lighter than glass, which will reduce the fuel for transport. This aligns well with Punk Wines vision to be climate positive.
